Description

This Vanilla Yogurt and Berry Trifle is a creamy, fruity, and slightly sweet layered dessert made with vanilla yogurt, fresh berries, and soft cake or granola. It’s a healthier, refreshing alternative to traditional trifles!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • For the Layers:
  • 2 cups vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • 1 cup strawberries (sliced)
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup granola or pound cake (cubed)
  • For Topping:
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare Ingredients – If using cake, cut it into small cubes. Wash and dry all berries.
  • Sweeten Yogurt (Optional) – Mix vanilla yogurt with honey or maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter taste.
  • Layer the Trifle – In a glass or trifle dish, layer as follows:
  • 1/3 of the granola or cake
  • 1/3 of the yogurt
  • 1/3 of the mixed berries
  • Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  • Final Touches – Top with whipped cream, extra berries, and a sprig of mint.
  • Chill & Serve – Best enjoyed immediately, but can be refrigerated for up to 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Swap vanilla yogurt for plain Greek yogurt for a tangier taste.
  • Use honey granola for extra crunch or pound cake for a more indulgent version.
  • Great for meal prep! Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days (if using granola, add it right before serving to keep it crunchy).
