Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Dough:

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour (for rolling)

For the Filling:

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese (or more mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

For Topping:

  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

For Dipping (Optional):

  • 1 cup marinara sauce or pizza sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prepare:
    • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Roll Out the Dough:
    • Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the pizza dough into a 10×14-inch rectangle.
  • Layer the Fillings:
    • Evenly sprinkle mozzarella, provolone, and Parmesan cheese over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
    • Add a layer of pepperoni slices, making sure they are spread evenly.
    • Sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes over the filling.
  • Roll It Up:
    • Starting from the long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log, sealing the edges by pinching them shut.
    • Place the stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush & Bake:
    • Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning, then brush it over the stromboli.
    • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.
    • Using a sharp knife, cut 3-4 small slits on top to allow steam to escape.
    • Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.
  • Slice & Serve:
    • Let it cool for 5 minutes, then slice into pieces.
    • Serve with warm marinara sauce for dipping. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Add extra toppings like black olives, mushrooms, or cooked sausage for variety.
  • Use crescent roll dough instead of pizza dough for a flakier texture.
  • Swap mozzarella for cheddar or pepper jack for a fun twist.
