Description

This sandwich layers oven-roasted turkey, creamy cheese, fresh greens, and a flavorful spread between slices of Trader Joe’s Sun-Dried Tomato Focaccia. It’s herby, savory, and totally satisfying with minimal prep time.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Trader Joe’s Sun-Dried Tomato Focaccia (or any herbed focaccia)

  • 6-8 slices oven-roasted turkey breast (from the deli or TJ’s pre-packaged)

  • 2-4 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 avocado, sliced (optional)

  • 1 handful baby arugula or spinach

  • 2 tbsp Trader Joe’s Garlic Spread or mayonnaise

  • 1-2 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

 

  • Optional: sliced red onion, roasted red peppers, or tomato for extra layers


Instructions

  1. Prep the Focaccia

    • Slice the focaccia horizontally into sandwich-sized portions.

    • Toast lightly in a skillet or toaster oven, if desired, for extra texture.

  2. Build the Base

    • Spread garlic spread, mayo, or your chosen spread on the bottom slice of focaccia.

    • Optional: add a thin layer of Dijon mustard for tang.

  3. Layer the Good Stuff

    • Add sliced turkey, followed by cheese.

    • Top with avocado, greens, and any extras like onions or peppers.

    • Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper.

  4. Finish & Serve

    • Top with the second slice of focaccia.

    • Press gently, slice in half, and serve warm or cold with chips, salad, or soup.


Notes

  • Try grilling it panini-style for a warm, melty version.
