Description

These TikTok Cinnamon Rolls are an upgraded version of store-bought cinnamon rolls, made ultra-soft and gooey with a secret trick—heavy cream! This viral hack makes them taste homemade with minimal effort. Perfect for a quick and indulgent breakfast!

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Cinnamon Rolls:

  • 1 can (5-count) refrigerated cinnamon rolls (like Pillsbury Grands!)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

For the Cinnamon Sugar Butter Mixture:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Frosting (Optional Upgrade!):

  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk (adjust for consistency)

Instructions

1. Prep the Cinnamon Rolls:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Arrange the refrigerated cinnamon rolls in the dish, leaving space between them.

2. Add the Secret Heavy Cream Hack:

  1. Pour ½ cup heavy cream over the cinnamon rolls. This keeps them extra soft and gooey while baking.

3. Make the Cinnamon Butter Topping:

  1. In a bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Drizzle this mixture over the cinnamon rolls for extra flavor.

4. Bake & Frost:

  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and fluffy.
  2. If using store-bought icing, spread it over warm rolls.
  3. For homemade frosting, mix cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth, then spread over warm cinnamon rolls.

5. Serve & Enjoy!

  • Best served warm with an extra drizzle of icing!

Notes

  • Want extra gooey rolls? Cover the baking dish with foil for the first 15 minutes of baking, then uncover for the last 10-15 minutes.
  • Make them caramel-y! Add ¼ cup maple syrup to the heavy cream before pouring it over the rolls.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days, or reheat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds.
