Description

The Joy of Christmas Fudge is a creamy, chocolatey delight that melts in your mouth with every bite. This easy, no-fail recipe is packed with rich chocolate flavor, sweetened condensed milk, and festive add-ins like red and green sprinkles or crushed peppermint. Perfect for holiday parties, gift-giving, or cozy nights by the fire.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional—walnuts or pecans work well)
  • 1/4 cup red and green holiday sprinkles or crushed peppermint (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal. Lightly grease the paper.
  • Melt the chocolate: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Stir constantly until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Add flavor: Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt. If using nuts, fold them in at this stage.
  • Pour and spread: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan. Use a spatula to smooth the top evenly.
  • Decorate: While the fudge is still warm, sprinkle the top with red and green sprinkles or crushed peppermint for a festive touch.
  • Chill: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  • Cut and serve: Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment overhang. Cut into small squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a peppermint twist, add 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract along with the vanilla.
  • Use white chocolate chips for a “snowy” fudge version, or swirl dark and white chocolate together for a marbled effect.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
