Description

Taco Spaghetti is a quick and easy weeknight dinner that combines the bold flavors of tacos with the comfort of pasta. Made with ground beef, taco seasoning, tomatoes, and melty cheese, it’s a one-pan meal the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tablespoons homemade)

  • 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chiles (like Rotel), undrained

  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (if needed)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional toppings: chopped cilantro, sour cream, sliced jalapeños, diced tomatoes, crushed tortilla chips

Instructions

Cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet or deep pan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.

Stir in taco seasoning, diced tomatoes with green chiles, tomato sauce, and water. Bring to a simmer.

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat everything evenly.

Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top and let it melt, about 2–3 minutes.

Serve hot with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Add black beans or corn for extra flavor and texture.

  • Swap ground beef for ground turkey or a plant-based alternative.

  • Great for leftovers — just reheat with a splash of water or broth.
