Description

This easy Taco Ring is a fun and tasty twist on classic tacos! Made with crescent roll dough, seasoned ground beef, and plenty of cheese, it bakes into a golden, flaky ring that’s perfect for parties, game nights, or family dinners. Serve it with your favorite toppings like sour cream, salsa, and guacamole for a delicious meal everyone will love!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning mix
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 small tomato, diced (for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce (for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (for serving)
  • 1/2 cup salsa (for serving)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Cook the beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
  • Add taco seasoning to the beef, following the packet instructions (usually adding water and simmering for a few minutes). Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese.
  • Arrange the crescent dough: Unroll the crescent rolls and separate them into triangles. On the baking sheet, arrange them in a circle with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the points facing outward, creating a sunburst shape.
  • Spoon the beef mixture onto the wide ends of the dough. Fold the pointed ends over the beef and tuck them underneath, forming a ring. Some filling may show through.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  • Garnish with diced tomatoes, lettuce, and black olives.
  • Serve with sour cream and salsa on the side. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can swap ground beef for ground turkey or a meat alternative for a lighter version.
  • Add a sprinkle of extra cheese on top before baking for an extra cheesy taco ring.
  • Customize with jalapeños, diced onions, or avocado for added flavor.
