For the Seasoned Beef:

  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup water

For the Seasoned Rice:

  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter

For the Burrito Assembly:

  • 4 large flour tortillas (burrito-sized)
  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded three-cheese blend (cheddar, Monterey Jack, mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup crispy tortilla strips (or crushed tortilla chips)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Instructions

Make the Seasoned Beef:

  1. Brown the beef – In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned.
  2. Add seasoning – Stir in chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Add water and simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat.

Make the Seasoned Rice:

  1. Cook the rice – If not already cooked, prepare white rice according to package instructions.
  2. Season the rice – Stir in chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and butter. Mix well and set aside.

Assemble the Burritos:

  1. Warm the tortillas – Microwave tortillas for 10-15 seconds to make them more pliable.
  2. Layer the ingredients – Spread 2 tablespoons of nacho cheese in the center of each tortilla. Add 1/4 cup seasoned beef, 1/4 cup seasoned rice, shredded cheese, crispy tortilla strips, and 1 tablespoon sour cream.
  3. Fold & roll – Fold in the sides and roll tightly into a burrito.
  4. Heat (optional) – For a crispy exterior, heat the burritos in a dry skillet over medium heat for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Serve & enjoy!

Notes

  • Swap tortilla strips for crushed Doritos for extra crunch.
  • Use ground turkey or shredded chicken instead of beef.
  • Add jalapeños or hot sauce for extra spice.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in a skillet or microwave.
