- 1 box strawberry cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box: eggs, oil, water)
- 1 cup strawberry frosting (store-bought or homemade)
- 12 oz white chocolate chips or white candy melts
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for thinning chocolate)
- Pink or red sprinkles (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
- Bake the Cake:
- Prepare the strawberry cake mix according to the package instructions.
- Allow the cake to cool completely after baking.
- Crumble the Cake:
- Once cooled, crumble the cake into fine crumbs in a large mixing bowl.
- Mix with Frosting:
- Add the strawberry frosting to the crumbled cake.
- Mix until well combined and the texture resembles dough.
- Form the Truffles:
- Scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll them into 1-inch balls.
- Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Freeze for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Coat with Chocolate:
- Melt the white chocolate chips with the coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each cake truffle into the melted chocolate, coating evenly.
- Place them back on the parchment-lined sheet.
- Decorate:
- Add sprinkles on top while the chocolate is still wet.
- Let the truffles set at room temperature or refrigerate until the coating hardens.
