Description

These sweet, bite-sized Strawberry Cake Truffles are perfect for parties, special occasions, or as a fun treat! Made with moist strawberry cake, creamy frosting, and a smooth white chocolate coating, they’re bursting with fruity flavor and a rich, decadent texture.

Ingredients

Units Scale

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box: eggs, oil, water)
  • 1 cup strawberry frosting (store-bought or homemade)
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips or white candy melts
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for thinning chocolate)
  • Pink or red sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  • Bake the Cake:
    • Prepare the strawberry cake mix according to the package instructions.
    • Allow the cake to cool completely after baking.
  • Crumble the Cake:
    • Once cooled, crumble the cake into fine crumbs in a large mixing bowl.
  • Mix with Frosting:
    • Add the strawberry frosting to the crumbled cake.
    • Mix until well combined and the texture resembles dough.
  • Form the Truffles:
    • Scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll them into 1-inch balls.
    • Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
    • Freeze for about 30 minutes to firm up.
  • Coat with Chocolate:
    • Melt the white chocolate chips with the coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
    • Dip each cake truffle into the melted chocolate, coating evenly.
    • Place them back on the parchment-lined sheet.
  • Decorate:
    • Add sprinkles on top while the chocolate is still wet.
    • Let the truffles set at room temperature or refrigerate until the coating hardens.
  • Serve & Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use homemade strawberry cake and frosting if you prefer.
  • For an extra burst of strawberry flavor, add finely chopped freeze-dried strawberries to the cake mixture.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
