Scale
- 36 Golden Oreo cookies (approximately 14.3 ounces)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 16 ounces white almond bark or white chocolate melting wafers
- Optional: Sprinkles or additional cinnamon sugar for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Cookie Mixture:
- Place the Golden Oreo cookies into a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cookie crumbs, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Mix until thoroughly combined, forming a dough-like consistency.
- Form the Truffle Balls:
- Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, portion out the mixture and roll into 1-inch balls.
- Place the formed balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment or wax paper.
- Transfer the baking sheet to the refrigerator and chill the truffle balls for at least 1 hour to firm up.
- Coat the Truffles:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white almond bark or white chocolate melting wafers in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth.
- Remove a few truffle balls from the refrigerator at a time. Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated.
- Allow any excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl before placing the coated truffle back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- If desired, immediately sprinkle the tops with sprinkles or a light dusting of cinnamon sugar before the coating sets.
- Set and Serve:
- Once all truffles are coated and decorated, return the baking sheet to the refrigerator.
- Let the truffles chill for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate coating is firm.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
- Storage: Store the Snickerdoodle Truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. They can also be frozen for up to 2 months; thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
- Variations: For a different flavor profile, consider using milk or dark chocolate for coating instead of white chocolate. Additionally, adding holiday-themed sprinkles can make these truffles festive for various occasions.
