Units Scale

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups (160g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup (90g) chocolate chips
  • For the Oreo Layer:
  • 16 Oreo cookies
  • For the Brownie Layer:
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (40g) cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Make the Cookie Dough: In a bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Add the Oreo Layer: Arrange the Oreo cookies in a single layer over the cookie dough, pressing them in slightly.
  • Make the Brownie Batter: Melt the butter, then whisk in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until smooth.
  • Assemble & Bake: Pour the brownie batter evenly over the Oreos. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
  • Cool & Serve: Let cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing for cleaner cuts. Enjoy warm or chilled!

Notes

  • Extra Indulgent: Drizzle with caramel or serve with ice cream.
  • Make It Easier: Use pre-made cookie dough and brownie mix for a shortcut.
  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
