Description

These Salmon Patties are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. Made with canned or fresh salmon, these easy patties are perfect for a quick lunch, dinner, or even meal prep. Serve them with a creamy dipping sauce or on a bun for a salmon burger!


Ingredients

  • 1 (14.75 oz) can salmon, drained and flaked (or 2 cups cooked fresh salmon)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mixture:

    • In a large bowl, mix together the salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, green onions, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Stir until well combined, then shape into 6-8 patties.
  2. Cook the Patties:

    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Serve & Enjoy:

    • Serve warm with tartar sauce, lemon wedges, or over a fresh salad.

Notes

  • Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
  • Swap mayonnaise for Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
  • These patties can be baked at 400°F for 15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • For a gluten-free version, use almond flour or gluten-free breadcrumbs
