Description

These Roast Beef & Cheddar Sliders are the perfect bite-sized sandwiches for parties, game days, or easy dinners! Made with soft Hawaiian rolls, layers of tender roast beef, melty cheddar cheese, and a buttery garlic glaze, they’re baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Sliders:

12 Hawaiian rolls (or small slider buns)

3/4 lb deli roast beef, thinly sliced

6 slices cheddar cheese (or 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar)

1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional, for extra creaminess)

For the Garlic Butter Topping:

4 tbsp butter, melted

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1 tbsp sesame seeds (or poppy seeds)

1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat & Prep the Sliders:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally (keep them connected for easy assembly).
  • Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the rolls (if using).

2. Assemble the Sliders:

  • Layer cheddar cheese over the bottom buns.
  • Evenly distribute the roast beef over the cheese.
  • Place another layer of cheddar cheese on top.
  • Place the top half of the rolls back on.

3. Make the Butter Glaze:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and sesame seeds.

4. Bake the Sliders:

  • Brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the sliders.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake uncovered for 5 more minutes, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

5. Serve & Enjoy:

  • Let cool slightly, then garnish with fresh parsley (optional).
  • Serve warm with au jus, horseradish sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce!

Notes

Want it spicier? Add sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce.

Extra cheesy? Add an extra layer of cheddar or mix in provolone or Swiss cheese.

Make ahead: Assemble and refrigerate up to 24 hours in advance, then bake when ready.
