Scale
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Melt the butter: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Cook the garlic: Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes, until fragrant (be careful not to burn).
- Add the cream: Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly.
- Mix in cheese & seasoning: Add Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly (about 3–5 minutes).
- Finish & serve: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately over pasta, chicken, or vegetables.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, simmer a bit longer until it reaches the desired consistency.
- You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
