- 1 cup (250g) cottage cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp sugar (optional, for slight sweetness)
- 1 1/2 cups (180g) all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup milk (if needed, for consistency)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a bowl, combine the cottage cheese, egg, melted butter, and sugar. Stir well.
- Combine dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Form the dough: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms. If it’s too dry, add a little milk.
- Shape the buns: Divide the dough into 6–8 portions and shape them into round buns. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
- Cool and enjoy: Let the buns cool slightly before serving.
