Description

This festive, golden-brown garlic bread wreath is soft, buttery, and packed with garlicky goodness. It’s the perfect appetizer for holiday gatherings, game nights, or any occasion that calls for a show-stopping bread centerpiece! Serve it with marinara sauce for dipping.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • 1 egg + 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
  • Marinara sauce, for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven – Set to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease a round baking dish.
  • Prepare the dough – Roll the pizza dough into small, even-sized balls (about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter). You should get around 16-20 balls.
  • Make the garlic butter – In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  • Coat the dough – Toss the dough balls in the garlic butter mixture until well coated. If using mozzarella cheese, gently roll some of the dough balls in the cheese.
  • Shape the wreath – Arrange the dough balls in a circular shape on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a small space in the center. Slightly touch each ball to the next to form a wreath.
  • Brush with egg wash – Whisk together the egg and water, then brush over the dough balls for a golden finish.
  • Bake – Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Add finishing touches – Sprinkle with grated Parmesan and fresh parsley while still warm.
  • Serve – Place a small bowl of warm marinara sauce in the center for dipping. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use refrigerated biscuit dough for an even quicker version.
  • Stuff some dough balls with cheese for a gooey surprise inside!
  • Add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
