Description

This homemade peach iced tea is the perfect blend of sweet, fruity, and refreshing flavors. Made with fresh peaches, brewed tea, and a hint of honey or sugar, it’s a summer favorite that’s easy to make and better than store-bought!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • For the Peach Syrup:
  • 3 ripe peaches, sliced (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (or honey)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • For the Tea:
  • 45 black tea bags (or green tea for a lighter taste)
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • For Garnish (Optional):
  • Fresh peach slices
  • Lemon wedges
  • Fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  • 1. Make the Peach Syrup:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sliced peaches, sugar, and water.
  • Simmer for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until peaches soften.
  • Mash the peaches slightly and stir in lemon juice.
  • Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing to extract juice. Let cool.
  • 2. Brew the Tea:
  • In a large heatproof pitcher, steep tea bags in 4 cups of boiling water for 5–7 minutes.
  • Remove tea bags and stir in 2 cups cold water. Let cool.
  • 3. Combine & Serve:
  • Stir the peach syrup into the cooled tea. Adjust sweetness if needed.
  • Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour in the peach iced tea.
  • Garnish with peach slices, lemon wedges, or mint leaves.
  • 4. Enjoy!
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • Less sugar? Reduce sugar to ¼ cup or use a sugar substitute.
  • Want a fizzy version? Add sparkling water before serving.
  • Make it boozy! Add a splash of bourbon or peach schnapps for an adult twist.
  • No fresh peaches? Use ½ cup peach preserves instead of peach syrup.
