Description

Classic, soft, and chewy peanut butter cookies with a rich, nutty flavor. Perfect with a glass of milk or as a sweet treat any time of day!


Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • For Rolling (Optional):
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prep:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Make the Dough:
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and milk.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing until fully combined.
  • Shape & Roll (Optional):
  • Scoop 1-inch dough balls and roll them in granulated sugar if desired.
  • Place on the baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  • Flatten each cookie slightly with a fork in a crisscross pattern.
  • Bake & Cool:
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set but centers are soft.
  • Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

  • :
  • Use crunchy peanut butter if you like added texture.
  • If you prefer extra chewy cookies, slightly underbake them.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
