Description

These Pan-Fried Cinnamon Bananas are soft, caramelized, and coated in a warm cinnamon-sugar glaze. They make a perfect topping for pancakes, oatmeal, yogurt, or ice cream—or enjoy them as a sweet snack on their own!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large ripe bananas, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (or honey)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Heat the Pan: Melt butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the Bananas: Place banana slices in the pan in a single layer.
  • Sprinkle with Cinnamon Sugar: Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt over the bananas.
  • Cook & Flip: Cook for about 2 minutes on one side until golden and caramelized, then gently flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.

  • Add Vanilla & Serve: Remove from heat, drizzle with vanilla extract, and serve warm.

Notes

Best served immediately while warm and caramelized.

Great as a topping for pancakes, waffles, yogurt, or ice cream.

Swap brown sugar for honey or maple syrup for a natural sweetener.
