Description

These No-Bake Apple Pie Bars have a buttery graham cracker crust, a spiced apple filling, and a creamy layer of whipped topping. They’re the perfect no-fuss fall dessert—no oven required!

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 14 graham crackers)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

For the Apple Filling:

  • 3 large apples, peeled and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 1 tablespoon water (to thicken)

For the Topping:

  • 1 cup whipped topping (or homemade whipped cream)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (for dusting)
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

  • Make the crust: In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and brown sugar until combined. Press firmly into an 8×8-inch pan. Chill in the fridge while preparing the filling.
  • Cook the apples: In a pan over medium heat, melt butter. Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook for 5-7 minutes until apples soften.
  • Thicken the filling: Stir in vanilla extract. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water, then stir into the apples. Cook for 1-2 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Assemble the bars: Spread the apple filling over the chilled crust. Top with whipped cream, then dust with cinnamon. Drizzle with caramel sauce if using.

  • Chill & serve: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing into bars. Enjoy cold!

Notes

  • Make it dairy-free: Use coconut oil instead of butter and coconut whipped cream for the topping.
  • Crunchy topping: Sprinkle chopped pecans or granola on top before serving.

  • Storage: Keep refrigerated for up to 3 days
