Description
fudgy M&M’s Brownies, combining the classic chocolatey goodness of brownies with the colorful crunch of M&M’s candies.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup M&M’s candies, divided
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
-
Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
-
Prepare the Batter: In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
-
Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid over-mixing to maintain a fudgy texture.
-
Add Mix-ins: Fold in 1/2 cup of M&M’s and the chocolate chips into the batter.
-
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of M&M’s over the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
-
Cool and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For an extra layer of flavor, consider drizzling caramel sauce over the cooled brownies and sprinkling with a pinch of sea salt.
- To achieve a crackly top, ensure the sugar is well dissolved into the butter during mixing.
- These brownies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
