Description

This homemade version of McDonald’s Crispy Chicken Ranch Snack Wrap is crispy, flavorful, and super easy to make. Perfect for a quick lunch or snack!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken tenders (or chicken breast cut into strips)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 2 small flour tortillas
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp ranch dressing

Instructions

  • Prepare the chicken:
  • Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with buttermilk, and one with panko mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne.
  • Dip each chicken strip in flour, then buttermilk, then panko, coating well.
  • Cook the chicken:
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Assemble the wrap:
  • Warm the tortillas for a few seconds to make them pliable.
  • Place a crispy chicken strip on each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, cheese, and a drizzle of ranch dressing.
  • Fold the tortilla over and secure with a toothpick if needed.
  • Serve immediately with extra ranch for dipping!

Notes

  • Air Fryer Option: Cook breaded chicken at 400°F for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Baked Option: Place on a greased baking sheet and bake at 400°F for 18-20 minutes until crispy.
  • Make it spicy: Use spicy ranch or add hot sauce to the buttermilk for a kick.
