Description

This Loaded Breakfast Sandwich is the ultimate morning meal — crispy bacon, fluffy eggs, melty cheese, and avocado all piled high on a toasted English muffin (or your favorite bread). It’s hearty, satisfying, and totally customizable!


Ingredients

  • 4 English muffins (or bagels, croissants, or sandwich buns)

  • 4 large eggs

  • 4 slices cooked bacon

  • 4 breakfast sausage patties (optional)

  • 4 slices cheddar or American cheese

  • 1 avocado, sliced or mashed

  • 1 tomato, sliced

  • Handful of baby spinach or arugula

  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil (for cooking eggs)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Hot sauce or mayo (optional)


Instructions

  1. Toast the English muffins and set aside.

  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Set on paper towels to drain.

  3. If using sausage patties, cook them according to package directions or until browned and cooked through.

  4. In the same skillet, add a little butter or oil. Crack in the eggs and cook to your liking (fried, over-easy, or scrambled). Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Assemble the sandwiches:

    • Bottom muffin half

    • Cheese slice

    • Egg

    • Bacon and/or sausage

    • Avocado slices

    • Tomato and greens

    • Optional: a little mayo or hot sauce

    • Top muffin half

  6. Serve warm and enjoy!


Notes

  • Swap out bacon or sausage for plant-based versions to make it vegetarian.

  • Make it ahead: Wrap in foil and reheat in the oven or microwave for a grab-and-go breakfast.

  • Want it spicy? Add jalapeños or pepper jack cheese.
