- 1 bag (16 oz) frozen French fries (or homemade fries)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup sour cream (optional, for topping)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the French fries on a baking sheet and bake according to the package instructions (or until crispy).
- While the fries are baking, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on a paper towel and crumble.
- Once the fries are golden and crispy, remove them from the oven and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the hot fries. Return to the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and immediately top with crumbled bacon and sliced green onions.
- Drizzle with sour cream or serve on the side for dipping.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Cheese Variations: Try pepper jack for a spicy kick or mozzarella for extra gooeyness.
- Topping Ideas: Add jalapeños, ranch dressing, or chopped tomatoes for extra flavor.
- Make It Loaded: Add seasoned ground beef or pulled pork for a heartier dish!
