Description

Crispy golden fries smothered in melted cheese, crispy bacon, and topped with green onions—these loaded bacon cheese fries are the ultimate indulgence!

Ingredients

Units Scale

  • 1 bag (16 oz) frozen French fries (or homemade fries)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional, for topping)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the French fries on a baking sheet and bake according to the package instructions (or until crispy).
  2. While the fries are baking, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on a paper towel and crumble.
  3. Once the fries are golden and crispy, remove them from the oven and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the hot fries. Return to the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Remove from the oven and immediately top with crumbled bacon and sliced green onions.
  6. Drizzle with sour cream or serve on the side for dipping.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Cheese Variations: Try pepper jack for a spicy kick or mozzarella for extra gooeyness.
  • Topping Ideas: Add jalapeños, ranch dressing, or chopped tomatoes for extra flavor.
  • Make It Loaded: Add seasoned ground beef or pulled pork for a heartier dish!
