Description

This classic Lipton Onion Soup Meatloaf is comfort food at its best. Made with just a few simple ingredients, including Lipton’s savory Onion Soup Mix, this moist and flavorful meatloaf is a weeknight favorite that’s easy to prep and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef

  • 1 envelope Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Soup Mix

  • 3/4 cup plain dry breadcrumbs

  • 2 eggs

  • 3/4 cup water

  • 1/3 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping, optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix ingredients:

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, breadcrumbs, eggs, water, and ketchup. Mix until fully combined but do not overwork the meat.

Shape and place:

Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a 13×9-inch baking dish or loaf pan.

Bake:

Bake uncovered for 1 hour or until the meatloaf is cooked through and internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Optional glaze:

For added flavor, spread a layer of ketchup on top during the last 15 minutes of baking.

Rest and serve:

Let the meatloaf rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes or your favorite sides.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or a beef/pork blend if desired.

  • Add chopped veggies like onions or bell peppers for extra flavor and texture.

  • Leftovers make great meatloaf sandwiches the next day!
