Description
Hot Fudge Pie is a rich, gooey dessert that’s somewhere between a brownie and a molten chocolate cake. With a crisp top and a fudgy center, this easy-to-make pie is perfect served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It’s the ultimate treat for chocolate lovers!
Ingredients
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
Optional: vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, for serving
Instructions
-
Preheat oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8-inch pie plate or baking dish. -
Mix wet ingredients:
In a medium bowl, stir together the melted butter, sugar, and cocoa powder until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. -
Add dry ingredients:
Gently fold in the flour and salt until just combined. Do not overmix. -
Bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared pie plate and smooth the top. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is set and slightly cracked, but the center is still soft and fudgy.
-
Cool and serve:
Let the pie cool slightly before serving. Best enjoyed warm with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
Notes
-
The pie is meant to be soft and gooey in the center—don’t overbake!
-
You can add chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the batter for extra texture.
-
Great for making ahead—just reheat slices in the microwave before serving.
