Description

This refreshing Honeydew & Prosciutto Salad is the perfect mix of sweet and savory. Juicy melon pairs beautifully with salty prosciutto, creamy mozzarella, and fresh basil. It’s a quick and elegant appetizer or side dish, perfect for summer gatherings or a light lunch.


Ingredients

  • 1 small honeydew melon, peeled, seeded, and cut into bite-sized cubes or balled

  • 4 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced and torn into bite-sized pieces

  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine), drained

  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn

  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze

 

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Place the honeydew melon pieces in a large bowl or on a serving platter.

  2. Scatter the prosciutto pieces and mozzarella balls evenly over the melon.

  3. Add the torn basil leaves.

  4. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze.

  5. Season lightly with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

  6. Serve immediately, or chill for up to 1 hour before serving.


Notes

  • You can substitute cantaloupe or watermelon for honeydew if you prefer.

  • For extra crunch, sprinkle with toasted pine nuts or crushed pistachios.

  • Pairs well with a glass of chilled white wine or rosé.
