Description

This Homemade Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew is smooth, lightly sweetened, and topped with a rich vanilla cream that swirls beautifully into the cold brew. It’s an easy, budget-friendly way to enjoy a café-style drink at home!

Ingredients

For the Cold Brew Coffee:

  • 1 cup coarsely ground coffee beans

  • 4 cups cold water

  • Ice, for serving

For the Vanilla Sweet Cream:

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup milk (whole milk or half-and-half)

  • 2 tbsp vanilla syrup (recipe below or store-bought)

For Homemade Vanilla Syrup: (Optional)

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

Make the Cold Brew

  1. Combine coarsely ground coffee and cold water in a large jar or French press. Stir to mix.

  2. Cover and let it steep in the fridge for 12-24 hours.

  3. Strain through a coffee filter or fine mesh sieve. Store in the fridge for up to a week.

2. Make the Vanilla Sweet Cream

  1. In a small jar or bowl, mix heavy cream, milk, and vanilla syrup.

  2. Stir or shake well until combined. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.

3. Make the Homemade Vanilla Syrup (Optional)

  1. Heat water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.

  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.

  3. Let cool and store in a jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

4. Assemble the Drink

  1. Fill a glass with ice and pour in cold brew (about ¾ full).

  2. Add 1-2 tbsp of vanilla sweet cream on top and stir if desired.

  3. Enjoy as-is or top with extra vanilla syrup for more sweetness!

Notes

  • Use oat milk or almond milk for a dairy-free version.

  • For a creamier drink, use a milk frother to slightly foam the vanilla sweet cream before adding.

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less vanilla syrup.
