Description

This Homemade Cinnamon Butter is rich, creamy, and lightly sweetened with the warm flavors of cinnamon and honey. It’s perfect for breakfast, holiday dinners, or as a spread for breads and muffins. You can whip it up in minutes with just a few ingredients!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (or honey for a natural sweetener)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt (optional, to enhance flavor)

Instructions

  1. Whip the butter: In a small bowl, use a hand mixer or a whisk to beat the softened butter until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add flavorings: Mix in powdered sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt (if using). Beat until fully combined and fluffy.
  3. Taste & adjust: Add more cinnamon or sweetener to taste.
  4. Store & serve: Transfer to a small jar or container. Store at room temperature for 1-2 days or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • For a whipped texture, beat for an extra 2-3 minutes until light and airy.
  • Serve on toast, pancakes, waffles, biscuits, cornbread, or sweet potatoes.
  • Add a pinch of nutmeg or maple syrup for extra depth of flavor.
