- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

- In a large mixing bowl, place the chow mein noodles. Set aside.

Melt the Peanut Butter and Chocolate:
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the peanut butter, chocolate chips, and butter together, stirring frequently. Once smooth and melted, remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract (and salt, if using).

- Pour the melted peanut butter and chocolate mixture over the chow mein noodles. Gently stir until the noodles are evenly coated.
