Description

These Ham and Cheese Sliders are a crowd favorite! Soft Hawaiian rolls are layered with savory ham, gooey melted cheese, and a buttery, seasoned glaze. Baked until golden and delicious—these are always a hit!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls (or any soft slider buns)
  • 3/4 lb sliced ham (deli-style or leftover baked ham)
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese (or provolone/cheddar)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Slice the rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected. Place the bottom half in the baking dish.
  • Spread mayonnaise (if using) on the cut sides of the rolls.
  • Layer ham evenly over the bottom half, then top with cheese slices. Place the top half of the rolls back on.
  • Make the buttery glaze: In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and poppy seeds.
  • Brush glaze evenly over the top of the rolls. Let sit for 5-10 minutes to soak in.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 5-7 minutes until tops are golden brown.
  • Garnish with parsley (optional) and serve warm. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use honey ham for a sweeter flavor or black forest ham for a smoky taste.
  • Swap Swiss for cheddar, provolone, or pepper jack for a different twist.
  • Add a layer of dill pickles or caramelized onions for extra flavor.
