Description

This ground turkey meatloaf is a lighter take on the classic dish, packed with flavor and easy to make. It’s juicy, tender, and perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner or meal prep.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-style)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano (or Italian seasoning)
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven – Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • Mix Ingredients – In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and spices. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Shape the Loaf – Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and shape it into a loaf. Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top for extra flavor.
  • Bake – Place in the oven and bake for 50-55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Rest & Serve – Let the meatloaf rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes or a side of roasted vegetables.

Notes

  • You can substitute oats for breadcrumbs for a gluten-free option.
  • Add a little grated zucchini or carrot for extra moisture and nutrition.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for later.
