Description

These Gingerbread Brownies combine the best of two holiday favorites—rich, fudgy brownies and warm, spiced gingerbread! Infused with molasses, cinnamon, and ginger, these brownies have a deep, cozy flavor perfect for Christmas.   • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
  • For Topping (Optional):
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prepare:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and grease lightly.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients:
  • In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and molasses until smooth.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until fully combined.
  • Combine Dry Ingredients:
  • In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  • Mix & Fold:
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
  • Bake:
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Let cool completely before slicing.
  • Finish & Serve:
  • Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with melted white chocolate for a festive touch.
  • Slice into squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • For Extra Fudgy Brownies: Slightly underbake them and let them set as they cool.
