Scale
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves, finely chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme)
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: A squeeze of fresh lemon juice for brightness
Instructions
- Prepare the butter mixture: In a medium bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, parsley, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined.
- Form the butter log: Place the butter mixture on a piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap. Shape it into a log and wrap tightly.
- Chill: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm. You can also freeze for quicker results or longer storage.
- Serve: Slice rounds of the butter and place them on hot steaks right before serving, allowing it to melt over the meat for maximum flavor.
Notes
- You can swap out herbs based on your preference—basil or oregano also work well.
- This butter also tastes great on grilled chicken, vegetables, or baked potatoes.
- Store in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
