Description

This Garlic Parmesan Herb Butter is the perfect finishing touch for your favorite steak. Packed with rich, savory flavors from fresh herbs, garlic, and Parmesan cheese, it melts beautifully over hot steaks, adding depth and indulgence to every bite.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves, finely chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: A squeeze of fresh lemon juice for brightness

Instructions

  • Prepare the butter mixture: In a medium bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, parsley, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined.
  • Form the butter log: Place the butter mixture on a piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap. Shape it into a log and wrap tightly.
  • Chill: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm. You can also freeze for quicker results or longer storage.
  • Serve: Slice rounds of the butter and place them on hot steaks right before serving, allowing it to melt over the meat for maximum flavor.

Notes

  • You can swap out herbs based on your preference—basil or oregano also work well.
  • This butter also tastes great on grilled chicken, vegetables, or baked potatoes.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
