  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into thin cutlets)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for light coating)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for extra richness)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • 1. Season & Coat the Chicken
  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Lightly coat each piece in flour, shaking off excess.
  • 2. Sear the Chicken
  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (165°F/75°C internal temp).
  • Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • 3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
  • In the same pan, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth and Italian seasoning, scraping up browned bits from the pan.
  • Stir in lemon juice (if using) and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in butter for extra richness.
  • 4. Finish & Serve
  • Return the chicken to the pan, spooning sauce over the top.
  • Simmer for 2 more minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley.
  • Serve hot with your favorite sides!
