- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or fresh thyme leaves)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F). Remove the chicken and set aside.
- Make the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add Liquid Ingredients: Stir in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze it. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Combine: Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the garlic sauce over the top. Cook for another 2 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in olive oil, garlic, and thyme for 30 minutes before cooking.
- You can use chicken thighs instead of chicken breasts if preferred.
- Serve with rice, pasta, or a side salad for a complete meal
