Description

These soft and fluffy garlic bread rolls are packed with buttery, garlicky goodness! Perfect as a side dish for pasta, soup, or just as a snack, these rolls have a golden, crispy top with a delicious garlic butter glaze.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • For the Dough:
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • For the Garlic Butter:
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  • Activate the Yeast – In a small bowl, mix the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  • Make the Dough – In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add melted butter and the activated yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead & Rise – Knead the dough for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Shape the Rolls – Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal portions. Roll each into a ball and place them in a greased baking dish, leaving some space between each roll. Cover and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
  • Make Garlic Butter – In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  • Bake – Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush the rolls with half of the garlic butter. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Finish & Serve – Brush the warm rolls with the remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve warm!

Notes

  • If you prefer a softer crust, cover the rolls with foil during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  • You can use store-bought dough to save time.
  • These rolls can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerated for up to a week.
