Description

These soft and fluffy Garlic Bread Rolls are packed with buttery garlic flavor and topped with fresh herbs. Perfect as a side for pasta, soups, or just on their own! They’re easy to make and bake up golden and delicious every time.


Ingredients

  • For the Dough:
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • For the Garlic Butter Topping:
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  • 1. Prepare the Dough:
  • In a large bowl, whisk together warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add melted butter, egg, salt, and flour. Mix until combined.
  • Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  • 2. Shape & Second Rise:
  • Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
  • Roll each piece into a ball and place in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  • 3. Bake the Rolls:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • 4. Make the Garlic Butter Topping:
  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt.
  • Brush over the warm rolls and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if using.
  • 5. Serve & Enjoy!
  • Serve warm as a side dish with pasta, soups, or grilled meats.

Notes

  • For extra garlic flavor, add ½ tsp garlic powder to the dough.
  • Want a cheesy twist? Stuff each roll with a cube of mozzarella before baking.
  • Make ahead: Prepare the dough the night before and refrigerate until ready to bake.
