  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice (uncooked)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp salt
For the Creamy Sauce:
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or milk)
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp paprika (optional, for extra flavor)
For the Topping:
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup crushed Ritz crackers or breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Rice
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a baking dish (9×13 inch), combine uncooked rice, chicken broth, and salt. Stir to distribute evenly.
Step 2: Season the Chicken
  1. Mix shredded chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
Step 3: Make the Creamy Sauce
  1. In a bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, sour cream, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
  2. Pour half of the sauce over the rice mixture.
Step 4: Assemble the Casserole
  1. Spread the seasoned chicken evenly over the rice.
  2. Pour the remaining creamy sauce over the top.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly.
Step 5: Add the Topping
  1. Mix crushed crackers (or breadcrumbs) with melted butter.
