- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
For the Ramen:
- 2 packs ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter version)
- 1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste) or sriracha
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (for extra creaminess)
For Garnish:
- 1 soft-boiled egg, halved
- 2 tbsp green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp chili oil (optional, for extra heat)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
- In a bowl, mix sliced chicken, soy sauce, sriracha, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes, flipping occasionally, until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Ramen
- In a pot, bring chicken broth, soy sauce, and sesame oil to a boil.
- Add ramen noodles and cook for 2-3 minutes, until just tender. Drain and set aside, reserving about ½ cup broth for extra flavor.
Step 3: Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream, gochujang (or sriracha), soy sauce, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved ramen broth to loosen it up.
Step 4: Assemble & Serve
- Toss the cooked ramen noodles into the creamy garlic sauce, mixing well.
- Divide the ramen into bowls and top with spicy chicken, a soft-boiled egg, green onions, sesame seeds, and chili oil.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Make it extra spicy: Add more gochujang, sriracha, or chili oil to taste.
Protein swap: Try shrimp, tofu, or beef instead of chicken.
Lighter version: Use half-and-half or coconut milk instead of heavy cream.
Customize the broth: Add mushrooms, bok choy, or corn for extra depth.
