  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

  • In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 2-3 minutes, until smooth.
  • Cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
  • 2. Shape & Fry the Dough:
  • 5. Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  • 6. Divide dough into 6-8 pieces and roll each into a thin circle.
  • 7. Fry one at a time for 1-2 minutes per side, until golden brown.
