- 1 cup orange marmalade
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (honey or sweet-style works best)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening, optional)
- Sesame seeds & sliced green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken:
- Lightly season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Place chicken pieces in the slow cooker.
- Make the Sauce:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together orange marmalade, BBQ sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic powder, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Slow Cook:
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to coat.
- Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours, until the chicken is tender.
- Thicken the Sauce (Optional):
- If you want a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl.
- Stir it into the crockpot during the last 20 minutes of cooking and let it thicken.
- Serve & Garnish:
- Serve over rice or noodles.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
