Description

These meatball sliders are made with soft Hawaiian rolls, juicy meatballs, marinara sauce, and lots of melted cheese. They’re baked until golden and served warm—great for a crowd or a simple weeknight meal!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Sliders:

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls (or any soft dinner rolls)
  • 12 cooked meatballs (homemade or frozen & thawed)
  • 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:

    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Assemble the Sliders:

    • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected.
    • Place the bottom half in the baking dish.
    • Spoon marinara sauce evenly over the rolls.
    • Place a meatball on each roll and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
    • Cover with the top half of the rolls.
  • Make the Garlic Butter Topping:

    • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, parsley, and red pepper flakes.
    • Brush generously over the top of the rolls.

  • Bake:

    • Cover with foil and bake for 12-15 minutes, until the cheese melts.
    • Uncover and bake for 5 more minutes, until golden brown.

Notes

  • Make it easy: Use frozen meatballs and jarred marinara sauce for a super quick meal.
  • Want more flavor? Add sautéed onions or roasted red peppers inside.
  • Make it spicy: Add crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce.

  • Storage: Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10 minutes.
