Description

This Easy Herbal Coffee is a rich, earthy, caffeine-free alternative to your morning brew. Made with roasted herbs and roots like dandelion, chicory, and carob, it mimics the bold flavor of coffee without the jitters. Sip it black or dress it up with cream and sweetener — it’s soothing, energizing, and good for your gut!


Ingredients

1 tbsp roasted dandelion root

1 tbsp roasted chicory root

1 tsp roasted carob powder (optional for sweetness)

1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)

2 cups water

Milk or dairy-free milk (optional, for serving)

Honey, maple syrup, or sweetener of choice (optional)


Instructions

  1. Boil the herbs: In a small saucepan, combine dandelion root, chicory root, carob powder, cinnamon (if using), and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5–10 minutes.

  2. Strain: Pour through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a mug.
