Description

This Easy French Toast is golden, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Made with simple pantry ingredients, it’s perfect for a quick breakfast or brunch. Serve it with maple syrup, fresh fruit, or a dusting of powdered sugar for a delicious morning treat!


Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread (thick-cut preferred)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole or any preferred type)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt

 

  • 1 tablespoon butter (for cooking)

Instructions

  • In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  • Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add butter.
  • Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are coated but not too soggy.
  • Place the soaked bread slices on the hot skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
