Description

These easy caramel apple cinnamon rolls are soft, gooey, and packed with warm cinnamon-spiced apples. Topped with a rich caramel glaze, they’re perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a cozy dessert. The best part? You can make them quickly using store-bought dough or take your time with homemade dough!

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Rolls:

  • 1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (or pizza dough)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and finely chopped (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best)

For the Caramel Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a round or square baking dish.

Prepare the Dough

Roll out the crescent roll dough onto a lightly floured surface, pressing the seams together if using crescent rolls.

Fill with Cinnamon & Apples

Brush the dough with melted butter.

In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it evenly over the buttered dough.

Spread the chopped apples evenly on top.

Roll & Slice

Roll the dough tightly into a log, starting from the longer side.

Slice into 8-10 equal pieces and place them in the prepared baking dish.

Bake

Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Make Caramel Glaze

In a small bowl, whisk together caramel sauce, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.

Drizzle & Serve

Once the cinnamon rolls are out of the oven, drizzle the caramel glaze over the warm rolls.

Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Make-Ahead Tip: Assemble the rolls the night before, cover, and refrigerate. Bake fresh in the morning!

Homemade Dough Alternative: Use classic cinnamon roll dough if you have more time.

Extra Toppings: Add chopped pecans or walnuts for a crunchy twist.
