Description

This Easy Baked Brie in Puff Pastry is a warm, gooey, and buttery appetizer that’s always a crowd-pleaser. A wheel of creamy Brie is wrapped in flaky puff pastry and baked until golden brown. Serve it with crackers, fruit, or toasted bread for the ultimate party snack!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 (8-12 oz) Brie wheel
  • 1/4 cup fruit preserves (apricot, raspberry, or fig)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds) (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for drizzling)
  • Crackers, sliced baguette, or apple slices (for serving)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the puff pastry: Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Place the Brie wheel in the center.
  • Add the filling: Spread the fruit preserves on top of the Brie and sprinkle with chopped nuts (if using).
  • Wrap the Brie: Fold the puff pastry over the Brie, sealing the edges. Trim any excess pastry if needed. Press the edges gently to ensure it’s fully enclosed.
  • Brush with egg wash: Brush the outside of the pastry with beaten egg for a golden, glossy finish.
  • Bake: Transfer to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
  • Cool & serve: Let it sit for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired. Serve warm with crackers, bread, or fruit.

Notes

  • Use puff pastry scraps to cut decorative shapes and place them on top before baking.
  • For a savory twist, add garlic, rosemary, or caramelized onions inside.
  • If using frozen Brie, let it thaw slightly before baking to ensure a gooey center.
