Description

A delightful dessert featuring a sugar cookie crust, creamy frosting, and fresh berries arranged to resemble the American flag

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Crust:

1 (16.5 oz) package refrigerated sugar cookie dough

For the Frosting:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Topping:

1 cup fresh blueberries

2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1/2 cup apple jelly, warmed (optional, for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust:

    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Press the sugar cookie dough into a greased 12×17-inch baking sheet, forming an even layer.
    • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges turn golden.
    • Let the crust cool completely.
  2. Make the Frosting:

    • In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Assemble the Pizza:

    • Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled crust.
    • Arrange blueberries in the top left corner to represent the stars.
    • Line sliced strawberries in rows to create the red stripes of the flag.
  4. Optional Glaze:

    • Brush warmed apple jelly over the fruit for a glossy finish.
  5. Chill & Serve:

    • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
    • Slice into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Fruit Options: Substitute raspberries for strawberries or mix in bananas for extra stripes.

  • Storage: Keep leftovers refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
