Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano (or parsley)
- 1/2 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for slight caramelization)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer:
Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for about 3 minutes.
Prepare the salmon:
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and oregano.
Brush or rub the seasoning mixture evenly onto the salmon fillets.
Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if using.
Cook the salmon:
Place the fillets skin-side down in the air fryer basket.
Air fry for 7-9 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon is flaky and reaches an internal temperature of 125-130°F (for medium) or 135-145°F (for well done).
Serve & enjoy:
Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 2 minutes.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, spray the fillets lightly with cooking oil before air frying.
- Cooking times vary based on the thickness of the salmon. If your fillet is thicker than 1 inch, add 1-2 minutes.
- Side suggestions: Serve with roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
