Description

These easy chocolate biscuits are a delicious treat you can make in just 30 minutes! With a perfect balance of rich chocolate and a crisp, buttery texture, they’re ideal for a quick snack or dessert. Simple ingredients and minimal time make these biscuits a go-to for chocolate lovers!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup (50g) sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup (45g) dark chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 tbsp milk (if needed for dough consistency)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until smooth.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until a dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add a tablespoon of milk to bring it together.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips if using.
  • Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Gently press each ball with a fork or your fingers to flatten slightly.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits are firm to the touch.
  • Let the biscuits cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • You can swap the dark chocolate chips for milk chocolate or white chocolate for a different flavor.
  • These biscuits store well in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • For an extra chocolate boost, drizzle melted chocolate over the cooled biscuits.
